As you guys are probably already aware, the Minecraft 1.8 Pre-Release has been launched today!
Not to worry, it is set to be -officially released= on September the second
-There are a few good thinks on top of the performance changes, the new items, blocks and other cool things like the armour stands, banners and the slime block which will add a whole new element of customability to Minecraft.
With Minecraft 1.8, all mods and servers will become out of date
-Yes all the mods will be out of date and you will not be able to play 1.8 with your favourate mods, or on your favourate servers (With exceptions to the vanilla servers), but don't worry, Searge has announced that he is already starting to build the 1.8 version of 1.8!

-That Brings me to my next topic, if you guys are not aware, it has been announced that Mojang has taken over the Bukkit Project (refer to the bottom of the page)
the take over is not necessarily bad, Mojang has a lot more assets and being the creators of Minecraft, can get the builds out for each version out faster,
In time , the Bukkit server jars may be included , just like the vanilla Minecraft servers are,
In Minecraft 1.8 I believe, it is the dawn of inter-networking of Minecraft, MCP and Bukkit. We (The community) will most likely not have to wait as long as we usually do, for our favourite mods, and servers to be updated
as the creators of the software needed to run it, will be either working with, or be run by Mojang themselves
So do not sweat, Minecraft 1.8 Really is the Bountiful Update
(apart from actual quotes, all of what i have said in this blog is purely speculation based of research)
