Finished building the base of your masterpiece? Don't know what to do next? It's time to detail.

Detailing is very simple to complete, you should never find yourself giving up on your build because you can't find yourself being able to add more to it. There is always room for improvement.

Simple Detailing

There are a lot of ways to detail things simply. You don't always need the complicated artictectural stylings of Minecraft Buildteams.
Simple detailing can simply be adding depth to a blank wall to divert attention of the eye from the center of your build to the rest of it.

Tutorial Tip: Blocks used to create depth can be anything that 'sticks off' of a wall or surface. (i.e. Stairs, slabs, etc.)


Patterning & Advanced Detailing

When adding detail to a build, patterning is a must. If random blocks are added to the build; it can confuse the player and cause them to loose their attention towards your build and its attempted detailing.

Patterning is the constant repetition of blocks in a similance of order to help draw attention of the player's eye to detail.

Patterning falls into an order of Advanced detailing, this usually occurs when you are creating something over a block range of 130 blocks.

Tutorial Tip: There are many items including regular blocks, as stated above, that can be used to help detail your masterpiece.
(i.e. Stairs, slabs, fences, stone bricks, bricks, torches, cobblestone walls, etc.)
