http://minecraft-guides.net has just gone online, and although it's still at the end of its development face, it's big enough to be released to the public.
Our website is all about teaching people how to build, create and play specific things, like mini games or how to build in a specific style.
We don't claim to be the best, but we hope we can teach people a thing or two.
I'm also looking for more people to help write guides and tutorials, as I aim for a great community in which we can all help and teach each other some tips and tricks.
On top of the more specific guides, we also offer general information about minecraft, like information about mobs, crafting recipes and more.
We especially like our compact approach to information, like our compact crafting recipe list:

You simply hover your mouse over the item you want the recipe for and it'll pop up in the top right corner. You will need to have javascript enabled though, so we're also planning a non-javascript friendly version.
We have over 20 mini game articles, of which the larger mini games have a downloadable game map, both as a world save and schematic.
We also have several other downloads available in our other articles.
While the amount of content on our site is decent at best, we will continue to add more and more articles. But we're hoping other people will write guides as well, which we try to reward as much as possible.
Despite always speaking with we and our, this site was, and still is, a 1 man job, so the content won't grow extremely fast when I'm the only one writing guides.
However, even if nobody else writes guides, I will continue to do so in the hope to help people enjoy minecraft in more ways.
I, of course, realize it'll be close to impossible to run this site completely on my own, so I will be hiring moderators, event managers and other staff members soon, though my site is brand new so there aren't enough people yet.
The event managers will (help) run competitions and server events, as soon as they're up, which again depends on the speed at which my site grows.
Since I've written and created all content on my site, mistakes are bound to have happened. Please report them all to me, by either contacting me on the forums, on twitter (@Minecraftguides) or via e-mail (contact@minecraft-guides.net).
I'm looking forward to a growing community and I hope you will all be part of it.
