Minecraft Next - Gen Released!!!

Hi Minecraft Community,

Today we will be discussing the Minecraft Next - Gen Consoles and showing the Pros and Cons.

First of all, I would like to note that this will be mainly based of the Xbox One Edition of Minecraft and also that at the time of writing this blog, Minecraft PSVita has not been released, let alone been put into cert-testing.

There are many benifits to Minecraft Next - Gen. One of the main game changers is the fact that if have previously bought Minecraft on Xbox 360 or PS3 it will only be £3 or $5 for Minecraft Xbox One, PS4 and PSVita. This also enables you to transfer your Minecraft DLC over to Next - Gen. This has made the final descessions for purchase for many, including myself. Then, there are few but significant changes to the game. These changes are helped by the power of the consoles. The changes include: x36 World Size, Convertable World Saves, Bigger Render Distance and Crisper Graphics all add up, but what are the cons.



Well, currently if you transfer your Xbox 360 or PS3 saves to Xbox One or PS4, you will be unable to expand those worlds. Also they have not enabled you to have bigger multipalyer worlds, so the limit is still 8 people.

The main question however is - Should you Buy It?


This really depends on which consoles you already have and whether you consider the prices to be in match with the Upgrades. A note of warning - If you are looking into a Next - Gen Console just to play Minecraft on, then don't. This is because it is simply not worth paying the extra £100 for the consoles. Stick with old consoles as you do not gain much.
