Hello fellow Minecrafters!

In this blog I will be telling you what (Minecraft) Realms is. I will provide screenshots to guide you through.

You may have noticed an addition to the Minecraft 1.7.5 homepage: there is a "Minecraft Realms" option as shown below:

So what is Realms you ask. Realms is an optional service that Mojang hosts. It is much like a "White-listed" server; You can choose up to 20 players to be able to join this server. Those players will, when they over over the icon shown below, will be able to accept or decline communication with this Realms server.
 It will be like this but it will show the servers you're obliged to connect to.

But, as you may know from poking around, you need to pay for your Realms server. It is £8.00 (around $16.00) a month, which I think is an absolute bargain: your server will be up 24/7 even if you arn't logged in! 

I'm sure you won't need this, but here's how to purchase Realms:

1. Navigate to the bottom of the Realms page, and click "Buy Realm".

2. You will be taken to the page shown below, click http://minecraft.net/realms

3. You will end up on a page looking lke the one below, click "Get Realms"


4. You will be taken to a page with a box like below, enter your details.

5. Enter your credit-card details and enjoy!

So that was how to get Realms.
