Hey guys my name is CMAN1711,
I've decided to start this new series of blogs as I really enjoy coming up with different types of mods that could one day be coded into minecraft but I've never had the time or effort to code them. I have thought of a ton of different ones so I decided to share them with you guys. So here we go on the first (hopefully of many) episdpe of Mod Blog.
I've noticed that in minecraft that as you put time and effort into survival your armour and weapons get better and better. Therefore the game gradually becomes easier and easier to a point where it is just too easy. The mobs never seem to get any harder as you progress through the game. The point of the mod that I have thought of is to get rid of that and make mobs harder as you progress throught the game.
I came up with a simple mechanic that makes harder level hostile mobs spawn as you progress through the game and it envolves the achievement mechanic. As most of you know achievement mechanic bacame world specific in the 1.7 update so I thought that you could use this to spawn harder mobs as you progress through the game and it would be specific to how far you had got through the achievements in that saved game.
For example, once you get the achievement 'aquire hardware' zombie and skeletons could start spawning with more health, more chance of wearing armour and a greater chance of carrying a weapon. You could also make it that once you get this achievement different types of zombies and skeletons spawn. For example zombie warriors whohave 30 health (rather than 20), wear leather armour and carry stone swords.
I believe that this is a simple and easily programmable mod and could make a big difference to the gameplay so I hope to see these types of mods in the future.
