THIS IS PART TWO OF:http://www.planetminecraft.com/blog/10-tips-and-tricks-you-may-not-know/
Did you know that..
1. Rotten Flesh: You can feed wolves rotten flesh, it acts like meat and it heals them. They will not be affected by 'hunger'.
2. Cactus And Iron Bars: Placing iron bars above a single cactus will cause only the corners to be harmful.
3. Cacti And Drops: Instead of throwing your items on the ground and waiting for them to despawn, throwing them at a cactus will immediately destroy it.
4. Mycelium: It is a common misconception that only mooshrooms can spawn on mycelium. This is not true; friendly and hostile mobs can spawn on mycelium just as on any other block. It is the mechanics of the mushroom biome that prevents other mobs from spawning.
5. Giant Mushrooms: You can use giant mushroom blocks as fuel.
6. Creepers And Minecarts: You can trap all mobs in minecarts but creepers can still expode
7. Clocks: Crafting a clock in is virtually obsolete above ground, you can tell the time by looking at the sky. One day and night is 20 minutes total.
8. Maps: Although you would never need that many maps, there is actually a limit to how many maps you can have per world.
9.Shears: Destroying wool blocks are fastest with shears. Shears don't take damage when destroying a wool block.
10. Iron Golems: Iron golems do not take falling damage or drowning damage
11: Snowballs: You can kill a blaze with 7 snowballs instead of using a sword or a bow.
