Hi, sorry that I haven't posted in a while, but here is my blog on how my PMC experience has changed over the months, what has gotten better and sadly, what has gotten worse.
From Humble Beginnings
Before I can tell you the story of my PMC experience, I need to tell you this story first. I was on my first survival server (ever) and I saw a rule saying 'no griefing.' My friend had told me about the art of griefing and how it was a very bad thing, so I was scared to go near any house. I built a shelter, but lacked cobble, so I thought 'they'll never find out!' I totally ripped up a cobblestone house (except for the protected stuff) and finished my base.
It felt good ripping that house to bits, and stealing all the cobble, so I griefed another house (completely.) And as I was griefing my 3rd house, the owner came and banned me. I should have mentioned, in every house I griefed, I stuck a sign up saying 'MR FLINT GRIEFED UR HOUSE!!!!" Ahhh, the old days.
I went onto a rather popular server. I griefed and griefede and griefed, hanging Mr Flint signs up everywhere, until I found a half griefed house. I thought that looked ugly, so I half griefed the rest of the houses on the server. I found another griefer, and we were called the Flint Grief Gang. We griefed even harder until one day, another griefer was copying us with their sign technique. We griefed and griefed and griefed, until I griefed a note block house. The owner banned me.
I griefed many more servers, got banned from many more servers, started using nodus, signed up to the old iCanHasGrief forum, and mad (many) enemies. Eventually, after they teased me for being only 12 years old, I would make Flint Grief Gang massive. I made an (unsuccessful) free website, then posted a grief-team app on MCForums. I got an infraction plus tempban for organising/promoting griefing.
After that, I thought that maybe I would sign up from Planet Minecraft as I found heaps of servers to grief from there. I made my application. 2 days later, forum infraction. I thought that was damn stupid how nobody would let me just organise a team of griefers, so I could achieve my dream of overthrowing ICHG.
Eventually, I threw in the towel on griefing, and thought I might get a 'life.' I used MCForums a bit, but every time I posted (I DID read every rule) I got an infraction for the dumbest reasons ever. I got absolutely fed up, and left. I thought, maybe I could use PMC a bit. I posted a few blogs in which today would be classified as spam. They were mainly recruitments and questions.
I decided to make a texture pack, called Shinycraft. It was a bit of a flop, so I made the Ultimate Troll Texture Pack! I was level 3 and it got me to level 23!!!!! The mods removed it for being unoriginal; back to level 3. I thought I might make more original textures, so I got a little bit of XP from that. I got ultra mega super very astonishingly bored. I decided that maybe I could risk another blog, and make it original, and a very funny piece of literature!
Back to the old days of griefing, the blog was called 'I'm From PMC, Gimme OP.' I kept updating it, adding new stuff for many months, until one day, new rules for blogs were put in place, then a moderator got the opportunity to remove it. Fortunately, I wrote 3-5 serious blogs/rants (including Slanderman v1 and What it Means to Diamond a User) to keep some of that XP. I PMed the mod and he said I could re-post it without the bad stuff. It was a totally new version. During the gap, I uploaded 35% of all blogs I have today. But back to the other one, it was removed because it was making fun of moderators. I PMed another moderator for advice on how to stop these god-forsaken removals (mind you, all REMOVED, not DISABLED) and he said the following
- He knew I wanted to be a mod
- He wanted me to respect the staff more
- I was 1 infraction from a permaban in the chat
- He commented about my snarky remarks
- He said I really shouldn't push it, I should really screw my head on

Yes, it is true, I somewhat disrespected the mods, I was one infraction from a permaban (I estimate I'm at 1-3 now), and I just put little effort into my submissions. I, however got a handful more warnings and bans after that, until I read got a comment from an Infini Garde member that I am improving in my blogging skills. I removed all the remaining of my blogs that infringed even one rule and I haven't had a fair removal ever since. I have gotten one removal from a mistake, because the texture pack was over 1 month old.
I continue to blog today, but one day I do wish to own a Minecraft Website of my own. I am making the HTML, CSS, and JavaScript of it today (26th of June 2013). I am no longer really interested in a moderator position, but I still help to report stuff and help out others, but it would be a real pleasure if I do (ever) get a chance at something like that. Never give up, eh.
What PMC Has Become
PMC used to be a site where all submissions were quality, people were obsessed with Ponies and Pokemon and where less-strict rules flowed through PMC. Today, the rules are stricter (for good reasons), not much pony spam goes on, but we are flooded with SkyDoesMinecraft's crap, and we just have fun! The site is faster, I don't ever have to empty my cache to do anything now!
So PMC can change over time, and many good and bad things can happen. You will experiance many things. For me, I sure hope my blogging experiance will keep on going, even when I do have the website. It will hopefully be a legacy, I will try find a place to post even after I leave PMC. I do hope that I stay here for many more years though. This is the end of the beginning for me, not the beginning of the end! My journey here is just beginning! I will stay here for many years to come, posting blogs and more!
