Well, I'm a complete noob to streaming when it comes to Minecraft, and I think that's okay. Streaming Minecraft to most people isn't anything new, and if you don't do anything different, then people won't care for you. It's quite alike with YouTube (which I'll get to later).
I've gotten OBS (Open Broadcaster Software),which is a wonderful streaming application once you look at a few tutorials. I've had minor problems with the software, but at least it's working now.
Even to me, watching someone else build something isn't the most exciting thing in the world. And, that's all I use it for. I'm more relient on visitors because I want some form of feedback on what I'm building. At the moment, I don't even have a microphone to commentate with. I usually use MC's chat and have Twitch's chat to see if anyone is saying anything, but my problem with streaming just boils down to popularity. If you aren't popular already, then using Twitch is kind of pointless. And that my friends, is quite the problem with me. It's quite a problem with a lot of newbies who want to show their creations to the world.
So, Twitch isn't for everyone. Personally I prefer Youtube just because I use it to show off what I've already built, and that's a lot more entertaining to watch I feel.

Soon however, I personally will be starting up a stream schedule, and that'll be on Pokearth's main project page if anyone's interested in that sort of thing.
