This is just like my least favorite building block list, but I'm pointing out my favorite blocks, and not blocks that I think are ugly. Like my last list, this is my personal opinion only.
10: The Light blue Shulker Box. Due to the texture change for the 1.12 update, this really looks like something now. In Faithful, the pack I use, it looks especially cool.
9: Daylight Sensors. Rarely do I use them, but they look great as rooves or as ceilings on houses because of that gridded feel.
8: Red Nether Brick. It's a significant improvement from its darker cousin, and it pairs well with it too. It also works well with other red or white blocks, and that I like!
7: Observer block. That observing face really gets me, and I love the texture in general.
6: Nether quartz. Just the quartz blocks I like in general, even the variants! Who can't love quartz, to be honest?
5: Dark oak planks. Great paired with spruce logs or spruce planks, oak logs or oak planks! They're quite versatile and provided you have a dark theme, they fit perfectly in it!
4: Bookshelves. Just oak planks, but with books inside of them! I wish there was more bookshelf variants, like spruce, or dark oak bookshelves.
3: Oak planks. Perfect with spruce or cobblestone, or any build in general provided it's not made of acacia or jungle wood planks.
2: Cobblestone. Barely snatched second place, because it is just too good! It can fit with practically any other blocks and it will be a welcome addition! Especially stone-related builds.
1: This one's a tie between two really great blocks. Oak log and Spruce planks. A match made in heaven! They work really well with lots of other blocks, like the blocks that I've mentioned in this list.
