5th Place:

FTB

I feel like FTB is an amazing mod but is very complex and hard to understand. It is still a pretty cool and expansive mod which is only let down by MY lack of knowledge and how complex it is. All the people involved in FTB should be very proud of their work!

4th Place: 

YogBox

This mod is based on yogscast as it implies in the name. What is cool about this mood is that like hexxit it feels like you are in some king of myth/ledgend. Cool new tools like crossbows, knives, cannons and more as well as new mo creatures style mobs. There are quite common weird towers guarded by a very strong stone block person that blows lots of stuff up but next to it is a chest full of loot including rare items like gold, iron, diamonds and redstone and also mod-specific items like human skulls! It's a very cool adventure style mod!


3rd Place: 

Hexxit

Hexxit is a great mod if you want to feel like you are in a fairytale/myth. Things like pirate ships and titans give it a real good adventure feel. I was quite confused when I found diamonds and gold on the surface but the pirate ships really intreaged me. I love bibilocraft (if its not bibilocraft and is another similar mod then tell me and I will correct it! ) as it makes organising and sorting kinda fun and exciting! The naturally spawning structures like the pirate ships look awesome and the builder who made them is very talented! 

2nd Place:

Tekkit

I love the way tekkit combines a bunch of very different mods into one amazing modpack which I personally LOVE to play. The most prominent of all of these mods is probably galacticraft as the race to the moon series done by iBallistic squid, stampylongnose, superchache39, Miss Mousie Mouse, Salems Lady, Amy Lee33, snakedoctor79, ItsJustBroomy/BroomyCraft and AshDubh first introduced me to Tekkit. One cool thing is that, unlike other modpacks, you get a 'Materials and you' guide when starting up a new world. This helps introduce new players to the basics of Tekkit!

1st Place:

The NF Family Foundation Pixelmon mod:

This is a mod designed for use on the NF charity server, though it can still be used in singleplayer. I do recommend playing on the server as some crafting recipes for stuff like healers require diamonds and pokeballs need a lot of iron. The modpack includes flowercraft, which fits well with the server, custom npc's, animated characters, which looks so awesome, and of course, pixelmon! The pokemon animation looks amazing, espicially for mewtwo's. A lot of pokemon can be riden on and some can even fly! The modpack even comes with a custom texture pack! The actual server costs money to play but is for charity :)
