Mystery of a Mansion


Stuck out in the dark foggy night, a group of 6 friends decided to investigate this abandoned mansion. Upon entering this mansion, everything seemed to be fine. There was nothing out of the ordinary, except for the freshly polished tables. As if someone was expecting them to stop by. The friends decided to slip into 2 groups of three, and roam the endless halls of this humongous house.When the first group was out of sight, the lights flicker on. This was an old house, so having electricity would have been unheard of. The second group decided to find out where this electricity came from. The first door they reach, was a tall, but slim door. They entered this room, inside was a study hall. A massive window, glooming over a broad desk. With the lightning striking the ground outside, it looked as if there was someone sitting at the desk. But everyone didn’t want to say anything, since they were sleep deprived and blamed their imagination for playing cruel tricks on them.

“AHHHHHHhhh…” a scream comes ringing from the corridor.

The second group darts out the room into the main lobby. Soon after, two of the three people come from the first group. They didn’t look tired, nor afraid. As nothing happened.

“W-what was that?” said Frank, from the second group.

“What was what?” says Coby, in a monotone voice.

This really isn’t like Coby, he usually is excited or scared easily. Something like this should have made him shudder in terror. Now this vibe Coby and James, give off is very nerve wrecking.



“I’m sorry Claire?” says James.

Now Frank, Cicali, and Julia were starting to panic. Before they could speak again, a body flops between the two groups. Undoubtedly, that was Claire. With a note on her jacket, was written,

“If i were, if i was, if it were, if it was”

With everyone one speechless. And no one to blame.
