your wrong most shading techniques uses noise. your stating that all shading use different color levels..which isn't always going to make it look good.. so noise do come in handy and btw this is not tutorial?

Well some times it does which I say I use it for some things and I forgot to add that I use it for some details. Also I doubt most do use noise.

Really? What I wouldn't give to at least see skins with noise. That at least shows some vague effort. Most of the 'recently updated' skins I see are either completely flat or unoriginal/copied.

I mean, shading's definitely better than noise, but noise itself is better than a lot of current submissions :s

Do it.
Then add a bit at the bottom as if you'd done the whole skin with noise.
SHOW THEM THE UNAVOIDABLE PAIN THAT IS NOISE.
