As all you may know, or may not know. Markus "Notch" Persson, canceled the Oculus Rift version of Minecraft, due to Facebook buying Oculus for $2 billion dollars. Notch said during one of his tweets that, "We were in talks about maybe bringing a version of Minecraft to Oculus. I just cancelled that deal. Facebook creeps me out." So all of the fans that were looking forward to Minecraft on Oculus, will now not be able to enjoy that experience.... Notch went into further detail on his blog, stating, "
Facebook is not a company of grass-roots tech enthusiasts. Facebook is not a game tech company. Facebook has a history of caring about building user numbers, and nothing but building user numbers. People have made games for Facebook platforms before, and while it worked great for a while, they were stuck in a very unfortunate position when Facebook eventually changed the platform to better fit the social experience they were trying to build.
Don’t get me wrong, VR is not bad for social. In fact, I think social could become one of the biggest applications of VR. Being able to sit in a virtual living room and see your friend’s avatar? Business meetings? Virtual cinemas where you feel like you’re actually watching the movie with your friend who is seven time zones away?
But I don’t want to work with social, I want to work with games."

Now to the people that have known this, this post was to tell people of what has been going on. This blog was made to inform the people that didn't know that there was going to be an Oculus Rift version.
Now the bigger question I have to you is, do you think Facebook buying Oculus was a good decision? Or do you think Oculus should have kept to themselves, and do you think Notch should have canceled or kept the deal?
Post your comment down below of what you think!
Thanks for reading you guys, it gives me the drive to write more :)

(P.S. If any of the information is wrong, please post down below of what needs to be fixed and I will post your name in the update log :3)
(P.S.S This is kind of late news, so don't chew me out, I just haven't really thought of anything as of late and I found this really interesting)

Facebook does have a bad rep with a fair share of people, including me, but then again, if facebook creeps him out, shouldn't Microsoft allowing the NSA to spy on his console versions creep him out aswell?
I have nothing to say for either sides.
We can all agree on one thing, at least it wasn't Ubisoft, EA, or Apple, they would have messed it up big time.
All I think is Facebook has been try to expand greedy as of late
That's my opinion, I don't choose either side
