So this here is my first Public Journal Post (I refuse to call it a blog...sue me.) So let's get on with it.

I've seen a lot of people come to advertise themselves on a variety of different websites, whether it be Minecraft related or not there seem to be inherent rules (or maybe its just me) that people don't seem to understand about advertisement.

First and foremost
Advertise when appropriate. For instance, wanna advertise something minecraft related, post it on minecraft related sites to help maximize users to your content. HOWEVER. Don't overdue it, you shouldn't constantly be shoving down your Youtube channel down our throats in the PMC chat. That's not appropriate, if anything it annoys a potential audience and cost you possible viewers/subscribers, whatever

Secondly
Capture attention. You have any idea how many fudging people have minecraft related youtube channels? Maybe six, SIX, you have to make yourself stand out from people with related content. Best way is to have talent. But sometimes that's not enough. Ever noticed the most viewed projects on PMC, specifically their thumbnails? Appeal to the eyes, rendered images capture attention because the eye is drawn to the beautiful shades and colors.

Finally
Give people a chance.
Check out other people who are trying to expand their fanbase, you never know who's gonna be the next big thing, and a small gesture can go a long way.
