My Experience
Alright let me get right in to this, I am a skinner. You may have seen some of my works floating around on the planet minecraft, Some of my skin have decent popularity(None On The Popular Reel). But i have seen enough views/downloads to have a decent amount of diamonds. That's all we skinners ask for, Some reward for our hard work and dedication. So far i have uploaded a grand total of 16 skins, And i have got about a total of 2 diamonds from other people. Which i believe is absurd, Considering the fact that people will continue to download my skins. I mean if you don't like the skin, There's no need to diamond it. But the people who do download, And use said skin. Why don't you diamond the skins? It take what? Two seconds to click download, It would take the same amount of time to click the diamond button. A total of 4 seconds, But it still stays as is. Which is ridiculous considering the fact that we release our skins for the public to use, And get nothing in return. If you download somthing you should diamond it!
The Solution
I have found a decent solution for this dilema, If when you successfully downloaded a skin and or changed it directly to minecraft.net. It would give the person a text prompt box, And would ask them to give either a response, Or a diamond if they like the skin. I know this is something that would have to be taken up with the planet minecraft administrators, But i do believe this would contribute greatly to the widespread skinner community which planet minecraft houses.
