Multiplayer War Game Tactics

There's nothing better than rushing into battle against the enemy army, surrounded by your friends and comrades. However, charging into battle without a plan is usually the way you and your team gets killed easily. So how do you really win war games? Well, look no further for this tutorial will guarantee victory on the battlefield for your team!

Strategies:
1. Basic Phalanx
There should at least be two lines of soldiers. The first line should be warriors armed with shields and tridents. The tridents should also be enchanted with Loyalty. The second or more lines should have bows or crossbows. It is recommended for the archers and crossbowmen to have a melee weapon like a sword or an axe in case they need to defend themselves. The phalanx works like this: The front line will toss their tridents at incoming enemies to keep them at bay while ranged units rain arrows on them. This will weaken or even kill many enemies before they reach the front line. The soldiers at front can use shields to block returning fire and protect the ranged units. This strategy works even better if the ranged units have bows enchanted with Punch or Flame. The crossbows can be enchanted with Multishot.

2. Axe Rush
If the enemies are spotting shields, axes are the best weapon your team can have. Rush them with an axe to disable their shields then melee them to the death. Enchanting your axe with Efficiency will increase the chance of you disabling the enemies' shield while you're not sprinting. Circle round the enemies to make it harder for them to hit you. With a swiftness potion, it can work even better!
If the enemies are using the same strategy against you, using a variety of items can mean the difference between life and death. For example: Enderpearls, Totem of undyings, Notch apples and more.

3. High Ground Stand
Get the high ground! Arm yourselves with Punch bows and Knockback swords to push away enemy troops trying to take the hill/mountain/slope/whatever stuff you call high ground. If you want to do one better, set up mines with TNT and pressure plate. Works best on stone mountains with stone pressure plate since it can camouflage the plates and blow up the enemies into smithereens.

4. Redstone Masterpiece
If you don't have enough archers, machines can do the dirty work for you! Place dispensers with observer clocks to result in a rapid firing arrow machine gun. If that's not good enough for you, fill them with fire charges and the entire enemy army will be quite literally charging into Hell! Another thing to build are TNT cannons. They are harder to build, but quite worth it since the explosions can take out several enemies at once if timed right.

5. Pearl-a-thousand
When the enemy army approaches, everyone on your side should pearl towards the enemy or behind them to catch them off guard. Just make sure everyone pearls or your comrades amongst the enemies will be killed quickly.

6. Power of the Gods
If there's a thunderstorm, toss a bunch of Channeling tridents into the bulk of the enemy army to incinerate them to ashes. Taking the high ground is also a good idea. If better, enchant it with Loyalty for the trident to return. You can use the double trident strategy too in war games.
