This is about a problem which I've seen in many servers, my own and others'.
Mainly immature children making this conversation:

noobcake99 has joined the game
<noobcake99> hi can i be op
<The_Admin> If you work hard enough and you're nice to everyone, after a while you could :)
<noobcake99> bye
noobcake99 has left the game

And this is a cause for rubbishy low-RAM Hamachi servers to be started, because these kids keep wanting to be admins and do this:

Why is this a problem?
Well because it makes it so much harder to find good, hard working servers, causing them (occasionally) to shut down which is a real shame.

Thank you for reading this rant, if you agree with me, drop a comment and share your experiences.

I know, I'm under 16 myself! I respect that, but have you had the problem of annoying people asking for op?

I Didn't have people asking for op but people saying "can you make a trusted rank" or "do loyal server members get bonuses"

Ok, cause if you run a server again, you will experience it.

I agree that there are younger kids who have interests in either starting a server or being a op/mod on a server. I do not agree that this is some sort of a problem. Let's throw some questions at you:

So the solution is to prevent or stop younger kids for making servers?
Is a slow Hamachi server a wrong server?
What is your solution to this "problem"?
So you think this is the only reason other, better servers are loosing views and therefore needs to shut down?
Why do servers need to be shut down because people aren't joining?

Elaboration to "Yes, I do.", I do if they're posted publicly

No. I think they have the right to, but I don't want them to personally
Yes, it is. It litters the community.
I have no solution idea, but I wrote this blog to criticise this problem.
Yes I do.
Because they don't want to pay money to keep their servers up if no one joins, it happened to ours.

1. Fare enough.
2. Why?
3. So this was not made to stop kids and make this "problem" disappear?
4. Could you explain why you believe there's no other reasons?
5. Nobody need anything further than a computer and internet connection to run a server. Exclusive things like a host service is something that comes additional. None really need to have a host service.

2. Because the servers that are hard working don't get seen because of the posts.
3. The blog was written to make these people think about it.
4. Yes, as on PMC if you look through the servers list, it is hard to find a good server except for when looking at the popular section.
5. What I meant is the bought servers for those who can't portforward.

2. So you are talking about people not getting attention, and it is because of the other people who also post their servers, and that's is in some way unfair? This seems a little bit silly, don't you think?

3. Fare enough.

4. This still doesn't mean that there aren't other reasons. If you are good with posting and branding, you'll achieve more recognition. Therefore, people who just post "hey, check out my server: 5246.54.5454.2255" will loose over others who make their submission more special.

5. Fare enough.

2. Ok, so maybe it's slightly about my extreme hate of Hamachi ;P
4. I have to agree with you on that!
