In case you haven't noticed, if a project has a schematic included with it, there's a new tab above the gallery window on the project page. Entitled Schemagic, this is a new Planet Minecraft site feature that uses some incredible Javascript coding to allow users to view schematics, not with MCEdit or WorldEdit, but with nothing but a modern browser. This allows for much greater exploration of small to mid-range builds without the hassle of starting up Minecraft or other software. In fact, Paril made some pretty efficient code, rendering schematics just as they would appear in Minecraft (sans some more advanced lighting), while only taking up the amount of processor usage as the average Flash game! I don't know about anyone else, but I'm pretty excited for this new feature, and if this is the cause of the recent downtime, I'd say it was well worth it!
