Hello everyone.
While we are here, lets take a look at why we are here, how we got here, and where we are going.
Now as you all PROBABLY know, unless you accidentally strolled onto PMC, Minecraft is the reason for all of this, Minecraft not only is a game, but it is a pop culture legend. It is a truly, (at least to me) an amazing thing. If it weren't for Minecraft, where would I be? Where would YOU be? Where would famous YouTubers such as Yogscast and CaptainSparklez be? It has affected all of us. Not to mention the site such as the one you are on now. Websites such as PlanetMinecraft, Minestatus, and MCSL wouldn't exist if it wasn't for Minecraft.
Take a look at PlanetMinecraft. A website where you can go to get Minecraft texture packs, Minecraft Skins, view Minecraft server projects, Minecraft servers, Mods, and blogs about the game, such as this one. I'm not sure how many hits this site gets in a day, but it must be a very high number.
Let's talk about the game itself. Minecraft, in its most simple form, is a game made of blocks. Blocks. Every day, your placing them, breaking them, or dreaming of using them. There are over 400 items in the game as of the newest update, and look at where it started. In alpha, all there was was grass with rolling hills, along with stone. 400 blocks, a media wave, and millions of dollars later, I am playing on my server with ten other people just like me, dedicated to the game. I go into my Multicraft console and work on a few config files for a few plugins, which add even more features into the game. I go to spawn with teleportation. That's right, I just teleported. Another feature that has been added into the game since alpha.
I guess my point is for posting this random blog is that we take what we have in the game for almost nothing, yet in many ways it is our life. We spend time with it, we grow with it. Sometimes, we even hate it. I mean, who REALLY likes creepers blowing up that build that you spent all day making in a singleplayer world? Or when a no good griefer wanders onto your faction land and destroys everything? But in the end, we always come back to the game.
Since we're here, let's remember why we're here. Let's learn to respect and recognize why we are here.
