Steve's father was ranting on and on about a notebook and something about a huge sunken city.

"...I was at the library reading up on history when I spotted this one very old book the size of a

brick! Just as heavy, too!" He proclaimed.

"Inside was a description of the beginning of time - a very, very long time ago, I can a tell you, There was an old race of golems that are extinct today... Snow Golems! together they and the villagers created a peaceful empire that took control for thousands of years. But then they fought with a new race called The Blazes - They shot fireballs that could ravage whole towns! the snow golems retreated to a desert and lay in wait for centuries as the villagers became slaves until they finally forced the evil blazes back to an island fortress of stone. The snow golems nearly won the war but where captured and tortured for answers. But then a voice spoke to them and a fierce rain killed the beasts, and an earthquake sunk the island, untouched, into the ground... And I think I know where to find it!"

"But you have no solid evidence."

"Nope."

"...Where are we going...?"

"to the city! I think we can get to our destination from there."

Steve's father reached behind him and brought a sword in its colorfully painted sheath.

"You might need it," he told Steve.

Steve unsheathed it to allow the morning sun to shine on its polished surfaces.

He sheathed it and put it on his back.

Steve and his father walked down the trail.

Steve was excited; what would the city look like?

down the trail and between the mountains they walked. The sun slowly moved down, touching the horizon as Steve and his father finally reached the top of a hill and looked down onto the huge endless row of buildings situated around the maze of roads, streets and alleyways.

"Isn't it nice?" Steve's father broke the silence.

Steve was speechless. The sun went down and suddenly the world was dark. All the lights went out.

"What the..." Steve's father said.
