Okay srsly, im sick of people making faction servers... it would be nice if some one made just a normal PvP server...
So if your statarting a server, here are a few things that can help you =D

well... if you joining a hardcore/pvp server... the best thing u can add to it is factions, guild wars is awesome plus its easy to setup... not like towny ( needs economy) and no wars?!

~If you use faction for another type of server besides Hardcore :P sux~

but then again.... there are MANY servers like that... so having one w/o factions would be more original
