TEXTURE PACKS WITH THE DRAGON - SOARTEX FANVER TEXTURE PACK!!!
The Soartex Fanver Texture Pack, made by the fans of Soar49's Soartex Texture Pack, is a wonderful Texture Pack with variety and well drawn-out skins and blocks. It is recommended that you use MCPatcher for this TP as it will not look the best otherwise.
Nether and End Realms-
The Nether brick blocks never looked so good! They are a beautiful red colour which makes the Nether a less dark and spooky place. The Netherrack and fire are both well drawn and look like what you would expect them to be in real-life. The soul sand looks like black sand and is very draining. Glowstone. Glowstone...don't get me started on the Glowstone. It is the best looking Glowstone I have ever seen. The way the black lines criss-cross around it give it the cartoon vibe that was missing in other TP's. It is the staple block for the TP and is featured in many pics and images. The Nether Portal looks vibrant and End Stone is a joy to see.
Overworld -
The stone blocks are quite a nice sight and are pleasing to the eye. They don't look too gritty and rough, ruining the fell of them actually being cubes but they are pretty much high resolution brothers to the Default TP, which isn't a bad thing.
The ores are BEAUTIFUL!!! The fact that they are gathered in the middle of the block makes it easier to see in the dark caves where you normally see them round a corner and you can't make them out properly. The only issue with them is that all the ores are just the same block repainted to the ore colour, it is nice and keeps it sqaure but a little deviation would have been nice. The Diamond Block is also a hit. It look wonderful paired with the Glowstone and should feature in many art and dramatic playthroughs! Iron and gold blocks look like sheets of the metal nailed together, another cartoon vibe there. The Obsidian and Bedrock blocks are similar but the obsidian is darker, if you don't pay attention you might be trying to mine Bedrock instead of Obsisdian!
The wood blocks are varied and coloured wonderfully to suit their biomes. They look like real bark on trees. I have never found the new wooden planks so attractive! After the stupid inclusion of coloured wooden planks I was off playing servers but this texture pack brought me back to them. The planks don't actually look half that bad! Even the half-steps still retain their classic HD look.
Sand blocks are alright, the sand is a bit plain but all the decorative sandstone and normal sandstone have sexy new makeovers! They all make my eyes pop out of my head with their gorgeousness!

TNT makes me want to blow it up even more but the sponges, even though there is no legit way of gaining them they still look quite stupid! They look out of place as if the makers have just worked on every lock and got bored halfway through the sponge and just left it! Lose a mark for that! Bricks are still good looking but glass looks more modern. They have black frames surrounding them. Bookshelves are very organised and neat while chests have a nice light wooden base with a cool leather studded brace around the edges. Crafting tables have little doors on them and furnaces look very inviting, the pistons make my day while the Enchanting Table looks well...enchanting!
The beds are well made in both aspects and the torches are lovely. The natural items like cacti and farms are cool and Jack O Lanterns look like something ripped straight out of Halloween. Sugar cane does like like bamboo a bit which I have noticed in many TP's which is why everyone mistakes them for it. My only real problem is the water. It looks like liquid misery when it is not moving, when it moves it has little movements making it look better but the fact that (when surrounded by mud) the ater looks sad. It does replicate real water well though, which I like!
Mobs -
The Villagers are all very happy and go about their daily lives with a smile on their dial! The monsters all look a little creepy but no too scary as that is not the focus of this mod. The creepers look especially good with their frown not being pixels but a proper frown! Your own skin changes too but I'll let you guys find that out for yourselves!
SCORE:
9.5/10 Gold Blocks, a nice texture pack that makes good use of real life influences and spices up your pretty average Minecraft day but a few niggle holds it back from perfection.
