ok so for snapshot 13w24a they got rid of texture packs to replace the new modding api :O. ok first they make a bad launcher then they are getting rid of the texturepacks thats it mojang we will not have no-texturepacks just to replace a new modding api. lets try to get the texturepacks back people we could atleast have the main menu like the mcforge main menu

The texture packs are located INSIDE the Resource packs and the new launcher is in DEV mode... this means BEFORE ALPHA MODE.

The texture packs in the Resource Packs make it better to use even if its confusing how it is set out.... so take a chill pill, put your big boy pants on and have a cookie to settle down

Well i've made Texture packs and heard alto about this topic it turns out with this Resource Pack it should be easier to make a Texture pack so it will help out the new guys more;) but yes i rather like like an ather 2

They added resource packs instead which are just like texture packs with even more awesomeness.
(and I can say this form a texture pack author's perspective)
