The sun slowly began to rise. I was drifting aimlessly in the ocean
with my wooden boat desperately looking for a new land. Hours passed
and I was feeling were the dark waves hitting my boat. My resources were
almost over and there was still no sign of land on the horizon.
Suddenly, out of nowhere, I heard a loud noise somewhere below me.
I panicked, but a few seconds after, everything calmed down.
I thought.. Could be a whale or something..
My boat kept going on and on.
At one time I got to try so I laid down in my boat. I had a really weird
dream too, it was something about an island where time doesn't exist.
An island which is ruled by a really powerful creature, hidden deep in
its depths. Only killing it could give you a way to escape from the island.
Once you get on it, there is no way back.
I could hear his laugh at sometimes..
I woke up sweating. My heart was pounding. The sun has set already
and I saw a few stars on the blacking out sky.
Perfect.. I overslept. Now It's dark and I won't be able to see lands if
there are any.. - I whispered to myself.
I took a cookie from my food box, which was almost empty and looked
at the horizon. All I saw was the dark blue sky, sinking deep in the black
mysterious waters of the ocean. There were still no signs of land anywhere.
I got worried.
Why did I have to leave.. I'll never find shore, I will just slide aimlessly on
these waves until my food is over and I die of hunger, or until a storm
sinks my boat. There is no way back.
I pulled a blanket and wrapped it around me. It was starting to get really cold.
My bones started to freeze! I was feeling really weird. Something stunned me.
What in the name of Notch! - I shouted.
Suddenly, the water began to move in a gigantic circle. Wind appeared and broke
the only small mast I had and took it away. My boat kept going right towards the huge
maelstrom that just appeared. Suddenly I looked at the horizon and saw something..
it looked like a mountain. Yes! It was a mountain. A small island and dark clouds all
around it. That's when I remembered about my dream, but I couldn't really think
because the huge maelstrom swallowed my boat.
I woke up, soaked and around the ruins of my broken boat. It was morning and I was on shore.
My legs hurt really bad, so it was hard to stand up and walk, but when I looked around I realized
I am safe, for now. I quickly took my watch out of the small pocket I had and looked at it.
I got shocked the time didn't move at all! Impossible. My watch was water resistant.
Suddenly I remembered about my dream, about the island where time doesn't exist.
I remembered about how there was a powerful creature that I need to kill to escape from here..
I walked around the island to explore it. There was a really big mountain with a sharp summit,
but it looked like it's separated in two and there was a crack in between the two parts. I thought
maybe there was where the powerful creature is. I went into the forest towards the mountain.
All of a sudden I saw a small abandoned temple snuggled between two huge trees..
I entered in and saw a medium sized sword, with a golden clock in the middle and blades
covered with shining diamonds!
Who'd leave such a thing here?! Wow.. - I thought.
Under it there was a glowing blue text, which said: "Only this blade can kill Chronos".
Now it all made sense.
How couldn't I think about that! Chronos.. The Greek god of time. This is his island and the
hole is his prison.. I grabbed the sword quickly and ran towards the mountain. When I slipped into the
cave I heard the laugh, I've been hearing for days. His laugh. The deeper in the cave I was going, the
harder it was, because time was going slower and the gravity pulled me down really hard.
After a few more turns I was in a huge cave. In the middle there was a hole which looked
really deep, I thought It might go down to the bedrock limits and even in the void dimension! Who knows..
In the middle, on a huge steel platform, sitting on a throne was Chronos. Wearing his massive diamond
armors and holding a tall scepter shaped like a clock. His eyes were closed, but I knew he can see
me and knows all my moves. His face formed a smile and he said:
Hello Steve! I was waiting for you. You're a really brave young explorer to come here.
Chronos let me go! - I shouted to him and gulped.
He laughed at me and replied: You need to destroy me first , to leave this cursed land, young explorer!
Then let's fight! I will kill you! - I shouted.
He laughed again: And how do you think you're gonna kill me?
I ran towards him and jumped. But then he moved his scepter and I was right in front of his face,
stunned. I gulped again and concentrated. There must be a way to kill him!
What are you gonna do now young explorer? - He laughed. You're doomed to stay here forever as
my slave, or you can choose to die!
I looked in his eyes, and felt how powerful he actually is. Then I got an idea! I hardly moved my hand
and took out the sword.
I'm nobodys slave Chronus! I am a free person, ready to explore the world and you won't stop me! - I shouted.
He looked at me and laughed again, but I heard a little scare in his tone.
Chronos you're doomed! - I shouted and quickly threw the blade right against the crystal on his chest.
The blade hit it really hard, and it started to break! Chronos shouted:
Noooo! This is impossible!
Right before his crystal blew up and he fell in pieces, he said:
I will be back for you Steve! You'll always be cursed!
I fell on the ground and thought of what he said..
Maybe in another life Chronos. In another life. - I said peacefully and left.
Years passed and nothing happened after. There was no sign of him. I found another
land and met other people, who helped me build a village. I got married to an amazing
woman and have children with her. Unfortunately, she died a year ago. Today I am 78 years old, close
to death when I finally heard Chronos's voice. He said:
See you soon Steve. I am waiting for you! Hahaha..
