Today I will be doing a blog/rant thing on the difference between Parkour and Freerunning. Since my start of being a traceur I have heard many people call Parkour Freerunning, and I can understand why, because you are running freely, but there is a difference. The most obvious and probably the only difference is that Parkour is the concept of getting from point A to point B in an unconventional way, while being able to retain dpeed and grace. Freerunning, on the other hand is the competion-based sport which evolved from Parkour. The basis of Freerunning is to be more sstylish and fancy than from getting from one location to the other, and is why it is the competion based sport. I thought I would make this blog seeing as many people are using the wrong term blatantly and it personally just irritates me.
