i'm actually really disapointed in this story

hi ya'll, its San and heres my entry for LoST (League of Story Telling) Season 2 Round 1! I hope you guys enjoy and

"Walking towards the abandoned city, I started hearing things in my head... children crying... people screaming... Fire burning... all because of me."

I'm going to tell you a story of a man. A cruel, evil man. A man that ended humanity. A man named... Sir Nickolas Landovire.
These are his journal entries from the last few days of Earth.

August 17,3078

I flipped the switch hesitantly. Before, I would have done it immediately, but now, I was not so sure. The engine
whirred to life.The system said "TWENTY-FIVE PERCENT CHARGED." I rushed over to the kill-switch. I thought to myself,
" why did I have to make it charge so fast?" The system was louder now,"FIFTY PERCENT CHARGED." No. This cannot be happening.
The kill-switch was jammed. I pulled, and pulled, as hard as I could, but it seemed to get more jammed every second.
"SEVENTY-FIVE PERCENT CHARGED." I paced around the room, thinking." SYSTEM TEMPERATURES AT CRITICAL LEVEL"
Lights started flashing. I thought that this could be how I de-activate it. To over-heat it. Perfect! I rushed over to the
control panel and raised the temperature higher. I started sweating. "ONE-HUNDRED PERCENT CHARGED. COMMENCING IN 3"
I started to panic."2" A bright light flashed "1" I fell to the ground, passed out.


Regret filled my soul, my heart aching to reverse what I had just done. But it was to late now. This is not just
the end of humanity, This is the end of all life on Earth, all of nature, the plants, animals, and all of life.
This is pain, suffering, and hurt. This is confusion, distortment, chaos. This is destruction, murder, and war.
This is... the end

Unknown Date, 30??

When I woke up, I knew something went wrong. When I checked my computer, the battery was dead. I used a emergency power strip to give it 5% life.
I couldn't make any connection to the food and water storages. I used the satelitte to view their location. What I saw... was dreadful. The extra computer
life ran out. I stood there for a moment, fear in my heart.I didn't mean for the temperatures to permanently rise. I didn't mean to have the food storages destroyed
I didn't mean for the water to evaporate. I didn't mean to hurt myself.I looked down, at my hands. But I did mean to hurt others.

I gathered all that I could. Some extra coolers from the broken down reactor to keep me cool, a couple of wires and bars, some emergency food and water,
and a bag to put my belongings in. I couldn't take too much, for the journey I planned to take was long, but If I took to little I could not survive. My lab had
been in the ocean before The "E.N.D" Device activated. Since all of the water had evaporated, my laboratory had been stuck, lodged in the sand and coral.
New York City was not far, but still was quite the journey. I decided to stop wasting daylight and to start walking.

Half way on my journey to the city, I saw something move in the sand. It looked like a crab. I wondered how it had survived The "E.N.D" Device. Maybe since
it burrowed? I was fascinated but at the same time I wanted it for food. As I got closer I realised it was like no known species of crab I had ever seen.
I got closer and closer, examining it. All the sudden it jumped at me. I scrambled backwards, putting my hand in my bag to look for anything I could
hit the thing with. I pulled out a metal bar and swung it at the crab. As soon as the bar touched the crab it flew backwards and landed with a hard thump.
I ran over to it and smacked it again and again, taking out all the anger against myself out on the crab. When I finished I turned around, gasping for air.
I looked back and saw the dead corpse of the crab, its shell smashed to pieces and its blood dying the sand blue. I hit it one more time and stuffed the corpse in
the bag to cook later. I could see the ruins of the city now, just on the horizon. I decided to start moving again or else it would be dark. I knew there would be more
mutants like the crab I had seen. The "E.N.D." Device must've altered their genes nuclearly. I wouldn't want to see this place at dark knowing that.

It was dark and I still hadn't reached the city. As it got darker I started hearing voices in my head. Voices of the people telling me to stop it. Scientists saying
it would end the world. I got to the shoreline and saw the city just a mile or two away.Walking towards the abandoned city, the voices got louder. I heard...
horrible noises no man should have to hear. I heard... children crying... people screaming... Fire burning... all because of me. I fell down on my knees
and started sobbing. I banged my fist against the ground, not caring whether I die enough. Insanity was taking me over. I heard a growling noise from
behind me. I looked back and saw a... cat? It looked like what had been a cat. Its eyes were bulging, its mouth foaming and it looked like it was bleeding.
No, It wasn't bleeding. Its skin was clear, see through. Its organs were crippled and green. What have I done? I thought to myself. I heard a voice behind me.
"You caused this..." I turned around and saw something worse. A man, his skin green and his eyes black. One of his arms was ripped of and was bleeding
severely. His body was covered with many burns, ranging from first to third degree. His only arm held a rusty knife. "I... I didn't mean for all this..." I said.
" WHAT DID YOU MEAN!?" said the man, getting closer, raising his arm. I backed away, only to hear the hissing of the cat. I was trapped. The man
jumped at me and stabbed my arm.

August 17, 3078?

I woke up, panting. That was a horrible dream, that no one should have to go through. I decided I would not activate The "E.N.D" device. As I got up, I went into the kitchen.
I started making toast, and was re-thinking my life through. I will become a scientist of good, not bad. I would help peoples lifes, not hurt. I will..."Hey, how's it going,
bud?" I turned around. The man with no arm was there. I froze with fear. This was not a dream. "I saved you... but now it's time..." I asked, "For... For what?"
He grinned. Then he said,"For the E.N.D," He walked over stabbed me in the heart. I fell to the floor, shaking.

"Any last words?"

"I'm Sorry."
