Now im not really sure if this blog post as a legitimate purpose or even it will catch any attention. But this is mostly just to share a few things i have noticed on my server over the year that i think is pretty far fetched i guess.

One thing is every time i bump my server on PMC i tend to get at least 2-3 new users that join and DO NOT read our information such as the description on the PMC server posting. Nor do they read our rules which a URL is located AT OUR SPAWN as well as the FAQ as well.

What the interesting thing is right when players join the game, there is the signs straight in from of them and i tend to hear a comments like "Well where is the signs?" or my favorite "Whats the website?"

My Responce: Did you read the signs? Or our PMC posting?

This response is a highly used one i have to use to new players, especially those kids who are 15yr of age or younger. This age group tends to overlook important information about servers and instead of reading what is already provided they waist there time asking asking and asking questions that are already answered.

Now my favorite is when players join and the first thing that comes out of the keys is "Hey do you need help?" or best is "Can i have OP"

Its been clearly stated that we DO NOT need any staff on our server at this point in time. We have been running for a year now and are still working to pull those players in that are willing to donate to the server to allow expansion. If you dont donate then you arnt going to be getting any staff rank anytime soon. Seriously children, if you want to help run the server then you need to help fund the server.

Another fun thing is which these signs its also mentioned not to grief players, flood chat, spam, advertise and all the basics of any chat you come across, this usually triggers my ban happy fingers and then next thing i hear from the player is "Why was i banned?". Do i really need to answer that question? This happened only moments ago...

Another which i never fully understood is when players join new, then log out never to be heard from again. I have heard that some do that because they dont like the server, i have also heard from those new players that "This server sucks" yet they continue to complain and play on this server. Listen kiddos, if your going complain about how much the server sucks then do something about it. Here is your only options, A) Get off the server. B) Provide some suggestions on our forums or most important just simply C) Quit complaining. I never understood why players stay on the server and complain when its not going to do anything but annoy the staff and possible get us to say something that will 99% of the time shut you up.

Now the best part about this is... I have been running this server for over a year now, Im 24yrs old and starting up a business of my own with web hosting and web design. I have ran groups, clans, guilds in the top 50 ranking on other games. Im about 99.99% sure i know how to run a server. If you dont like it then get the heck off my server.
