Okay, so I was raised in a HUGELY environmentally-conscious family, my dad is huge on recycling and always takes copper wiring out of any electronic he finds anywhere to get them recycled, and does tons of projects to help save the planet. This has taught me a lot about what the earth is coming to soon and how there is virtually no way to stop it, and it's inevitable with any intelligent and progressive species (probably). So first, let me give you some facts:
By the year 2050, the earth's average temperature will have risen between 8 and 30 degrees.
Glass takes more than one million years to decompose in a landfill
In 2008, there were only 3 Mil square km of ice cap whereas in only 2000 there were 7.5 Mil square km. That's insane, just going to put that out there.
I could go on and on, but I just really want people to start looking at the consequences of things that they may be doing in everyday life that is just making a more scientifically-correct apocalypse come closer and closer (One made up of human extinction from wars over precious resources that are running out). If we can just become more environmentally aware of everything we are doing, then maybe, just maybe, we can save ourselves.
Write your opinions and other things and how you are helping in the comments. Just wanted to put this out on PMC.
