Chapter 1: The intruder 


Red sits up. "There" she says putting her goggles ontop of her head. Tanner gasps. "How'd you do that so fast! I tried for hours and I couldnt get it!" he exclaims. Red shrugs, her short flaiming hair flying up. "I dunno, I just... fix it." she says simply. Tanners stares amazed at his redstone machine, minutes ago puffing up smoke, now working efficently. "It's even better than before!" he says, awed. Red starts to walk out of the room. "Make sure you don't leave it on at night. I don't want it burning down our house." she says as she walks out the door. "Yeah.. yep ill do that. Yep totally. got you. Have a nice morning. -i mean night." he murmurs, his mind on the machine. Red snorts and closes the door behind her. Now, better go board off the door. Red thinks, heading towards the main hall. Suddenly a loud crash interupts her thoughts. What was that! she thinks alarmed. Red races toward the sound only to stop to a halt once she sees where the loud sound came from. Her front window was in peices, and among the shattered glass was a huge man.
  He loomed over her. He had a dark burly beard and broad shoulders. His clothes hung in shreds and peices. Behind him were to lesser big men, but still huge. she gasped.  What do they want? Maybe they are robb-  Red was picked up off the floor and hung above it like a doll. "So," he growled in her face, his breath smelling rancid," Do you have what I want?" My neckalce! she though alarmed.  
 Red had found a golden fairy made up of mechanical parts in a mine. She had kept it as a neckalce, finding it beautiful. But she did not want to give it to him. no, that felt wrong. It was in her pocket right now, snug against her jeans. she stayed silent, staring at him with defiant brown eyes.  
"fine then, since you wont tell, we'll have to make you." she frowned in counfusin. What was that supposed to mean? suddenly he thrust her against the wall. He held her by her thoat. She struggled for air, grasping at his hands, trying to unfold them and give her air. Spots appeared at the edge of her eyes and she begins to gasp. 
 suddenly he grunts in pain and lets go of her. Red collapses to the floor, gasping for air. She looks up as she gulps air. Tanners standing over the man who almost killed her. He holds a wrench and bangs it on his head again. He stands startled for a minute when the man groans. "come on" he says and grabs my hand. he pulls me up and we race out the back door with the henchamn running after us. "Here" he says handing me my wrench. I glance at it, then look over my shoulder. A henchman is gaining on us. I glance at my favorite wrench, and at him. At my wrench, and at him. Oh, what the heck with it! I throw it at him and he falls over holding his forhead, where it clonked him. The other one gives up pursuit. 
 Me and Tanner, hand by hand, race off into the minecraft night.
