I'm sure there have been many posts about this topic, but I would like to add my 2 cents in since players on servers still don't seem to GRASP this concept.

If you go on any server, one of the first rules are either "don't argue" or "respect" the admins. Players should know by now that if you break this rule, there will be consequences. NOPE, looks like they still don't. In fact, they are beginning to get a lot worse.

I'm not saying all players that join a server break this rule. It is only that minority which do, but I have noticed the last few months has been a lot worse.

So let me give you some simple yet valuable advice on what to do when you join a server!

- When you first log on, for the love of all that is good, do not advertise/spam other servers, or start asking how to become an admin on that server. Nearly all admins have worked hard to get to where they are, so just asking for it will get you no where.

- When asking an admin something, do not expect to be answered straight away! Admins are busy people trying to keep the server running smoothly. If they don't answer straight away, wait a while and kindly ask them again. This especially goes for the creative servers, as admins like to build too but are run off their feet checking other peoples builds. PATIENCE IS KEY!

- LISTEN to an admin when being talked too. We are there to help, and if they are giving you advise on your build or what to do/not to do, they usually know what they are talking about. Arguing will get you no where and could cause you to get kicked/banned depending on the severity of it.

- I get that people get angry sometimes, but using minecraft chat to rant and argue is NEVER the answer, and could lead to misunderstandings as to why you are kicked/banned. So many people in the past have been banned because they bring anger into the minecraft chat. Even if it's not direct at admins or other players on the server, it could still cause you to be kicked/banned. Keep it to yourself or leave for a bit if you need to.

There are so many other points I could make, but in the end it all comes down to common sense. Treat others the way you want to be treated. Respect not just admins, but other players as well. We are all here to play minecraft drama free, so don't be the cause of drama! Admins are there to help you, annoying/arguing with them will not get you anywhere.

PLAY NICE AND CARRY ON!
