Herobrine The search for a mysterious NPC has been around ever since the first citing of the creepy character known as Herobrine. There have been so many theories about who he is, and many false reportings. So is he real? Thats what I hope to find out.

Here are some theories which we will cover:

Dead Brother: some believe Herobrine is actually Notches dead brother.
Virus: Some believe he is a virus that was uploaded to Minecraft.
Troll: And some believe he is simply a hacker pro.

Lets start by the first recorded report: A player who just started a new world had to play with his render distance very low because of his old computer, thus creating a type of "fog" on the end of the render distance. When he saw a figure at the edge of the "fog" he thought it was a cow, but to his surprise it was a figure with glowing eyes and very little facial features. He later went on a forums and found out that some other people had the same experiance. He then got a message on a forums from Herobrine with one word: STOP. His post was deleted. When he clicked on Herobrine's profile it 404'd. (page not found).
Later people at Mojang contacted him and said that an account on Minecraft named Herobrine was based in Sweden. The home of the Minecraft creator, Notch. This man then sent a email to Markuss (A.K.A. Notch) and asked if he had a brother. He got a very short reply: "I did, but he's not with us anymore." The Minecraft wiki even depicts him as a Swedish miner. Is Markuss' dead brother haunting us from the grave?

Lets now go to Mojang's opinion. On the Minecraft Wiki it clearely states
"Herobrine is not in Minecraft.

There are no references to him at all in the source code, and there is no code to allow for any entity to act like Herobrine. There is no level terrain code to generate 2×2 tunnels or elaborate dungeons with traps.

There is no possible way Herobrine can ever exist in any unmodded clients or servers. Any claims that he is in Minecraft are completely false. Any appearances he may have are caused by mods being installed.

All signs of Herobrine, like trees with no leaves, random glowstone towers, suspicious messages on signs, etc. are either glitches, formatted naturally, or placed by another player to mislead you.

The Minecraft Wiki and Forums do not partake in any viral Herobrine hoax. Any deletion of Herobrine-related comments or stories are purely because Herobrine does not exist, and the stories are either fictional, with an intent to mislead others, or the result of users playing mods installed on their game (possibly without their knowledge)."

Lets walk through the different signs individually. It says that these are glitches in the system.
Entitys: Correct, no entity has coding to act stalkish or have glowing eyes. for this glitch to happen you would need a mod.
Tunnels: Also correct, but in order for this to happen it would have to be about a 1/10000000 chance.
Trees: For this to happen on a system the computer would not be able to recognise the Y axis from the Z or X axis from fallen trees.
Glowstone: For this glitch to happen the Nether dimension would have to phase into the Overworld. Even if this did happen it would not be as tall as the ones from signs.
Signs: This one is unexplainable so far.

Mojang sounds like it it trying to persuade you into thinking he is not real. Suspicious. If you ever noticed on the launcher for Minecraft the past few recent updates say *Herobrine removed. Remember Mojang saying Herobrine wasn't in the source code?
How can you remove something that was never in it in the first place? Its like taking a noodle out of a 2 liter of Mello Yellow. If he was a glitch, he could be the reason for all these signs. There is also another creepypasta known as Entity 303. It is said that he was made by a former employee at Mojang. Entity 303 is said to crash and destroy your softwear on your PC if he comes into contact with you. Most people think Herobrine and Entity 303 are two different creepypastas, but Mojang says that the Entitys name was supposed to be entity 303. It sounds like he really is in the game to me. Perfect for a virus.

What about a hacker? Well, the first sighting said that the man checked his multiplayer twice, and there he was. An expert hacker would know how to get into a server with barely any tracks. During the first sighting Herobrine also was said to have glowing eyes; that was not an option for skins back then.

Real thing? There are a lot of abnormal files in the SCP foundation concerning paranormal activity. SCP 087 is a stair case that is very strange. In this staircase there have been subjects claiming to see a faceless man. Like Herobrine. So is he real? Comment down Below.

I do think Herobrine is in the code, like as a glitched Steve.

That is the most likely. i do believe that too. but the main reason is why? Which is why the other bits and peices matter. there might be a reason to all of this.
