Chapter 1

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- As I groggily put my equipment into my locker, I couldn't help but notice the others stripping down and heading down the hall towards the office. I trudged down, and took a peak into a misty room. One thing that they didnt include on the brochure- Showers. This time, I decided to just head home. A day at the mine truly tires you out. As I strolled down Oak Street, I noticed that people were inside, but that wasn't unusual, the unusual part was that they were peeking out every so often, and looked afraid. At first, I thought it was all the grime on my face and clothes, but apparently, creepers were hiding out in the shadows.

"Ssssssssss!"

I froze. Every muscle in my body completely shut down. Move! Come on! Come on body, haul tail! Right as I regained senses, I made a beeline for the front door.
