As teen skins step down in popularity, a new type of skin takes the spam spotlight
Just saying.
I don't think you can go a day without seeing a rant blog about how someone is upset
that teen skins are so popular, and with all of the terrible teen skins that there are, it's no suprise
that they've gained an infamous reputation amoung the Minecraft community for being
simple recolors spammed over and over to gain popularity. The fact of the matter is that,
while these claims are true, people tend to ignore the fact that these aren't the only problem.
Sure, teen skins are awful, absolutely terrible, but that matter has been long since
established, stated over and over until the topic has been far over exhausted. What I present
today is a problem that I find is spreading as I type, and the ironic truth is that no one
cares to stop it.
Now, let me back up a bit and present of bit of context. When I say that no one cares to stop
this problem, I don't mean that it's all that big of a deal, just a simple problem I came across
when I was browsing through skins since, well, EVER. The deal is, while we rant and rave about how
horrific it is that these teen skins are popular, we fuel an ever more terrifying trend.
Things like THIS:
Now before you get upset, let me present my argument.
What I'm talking about is the overused 'Super Kawaii Cute Girl skin'.
After people like Sugarbun made these popular, they showed up everywhere, and are now a plague on the
PMC posts. In no way do I find these skins bad, in fact, I'd much prefer them to teen skins, though the problem
I'm speaking about does not lie within the quality of these skins, but rather their lack of quality thought.
What I mean, is that these skins are uninspired, unoriginal, and well, underthought. Again, let me restate
that this does NOT mean they're bad, in fact, you'd have to be rather skilled to create something like this,
but that doesn't change the fact that they all look the same.
Perhaps that was a bad way to go about it? Let me, again, back up a bit.
These skins, as good as they are, are incredibly unoriginal.
Skins of teen girls in casual wear flood PMC and pollute the airways of the net with an overly growing issue
of not quality but inspiration. Skins like this are EVERYWHERE, and they all look same.
Let me provide an exmaple:
See? Almost exactly the same.
Ironic truth is that these were made by two different artists.
Now again, let me recant by saying that I don't think that these skins are bad, simply unoriginal and too
overly praised. Yes, they are good, and definetly have work put into them, but the fact of the matter is that
they lack THOUGHT. I'd much prefer a constant flood of rather bad work that was completely original than a
onslought of these everyday, simply because with the original path, I'd get too see something new everytime I checked in.
Eh, bad anology, but I think you get the point.
I'll just uh, I'll go back to skinning now...
And fuel this crisis I was just talking about...
Uh...
Bye...?
(P.S. I'm only doing this because I got 70 subscribers, and thought I would do something nice, since all I ever do is make skins... Let me know if you think that perhaps I should do more of these, as skinning does it gather old sometimes~)

and kinda got over the super kawaii cute girl skins
i dont know why i used to wear them tbh ;-;
i try to make more original skins now even though :^)
and i hate teen skins
all of them look like emo hackers to my point of view ;-;
Seriously, I get your point, but the point has been being made for a long time now.
?
seriously, i see this to often, why bother, it's just a skin, there is not special about it, expect i looks like teens and it's unoriginal, but there is actually a lot of unoriginal skins out there, and it seems like people are focusing more on Teen skins, but seriously, we get it, you don't like it, whatever.
While these, on the other hand, are much better in quality and design, they still lack thought, and that's what had urked me. If you don't agree though, that's perfectly okay, your opinion after all~
Because clothes and hairdos are awesome.
