This is a post to all griefers and anyone in general.
Griefing is the act of destroyinng someone else's hard work. Usually through hacking on a server. People on servers spend a long time building things or downloading maps, and then griefers just come and destroy them for fun. I don't see why anyone could take pleasure out of destroy something and getting people pissed off. If you are aiming for revenge, don't make everyone else in that server miserable too.
Many people grief for fun (I know a few of my friends who do it) or on a survival server with glitched spawn protection, for materials. But is it really fun? Destroying someone's stuff, making them ban you and rollback, and in the end, you still fail and get banned. Was that momentary satisfaction (which I don't even think you should get from griefing) worth it? I think it isn't. It may be fun to troll a server by griefing for some people, but the rest of us just want to play minecraft normally. And for getting resources, I've had the experience of getting loads of diamonds from a drop party, and then what? Congratulations, you get all diamond stuff, but I think the real pleasure from getting diamonds is working hard to mine them.
So to all griefers, why do you grief? Is it for fun, for revenge, or something else? Whatever the reason is, you should know that griefing makes people pissed, wastes time, and makes you hated. If you enjoy this, then therre's nothing we can do. Hopefully someday you'll get a life.
