1. Be aware

One of the few problems faced by beginners are being killed by players, without them being aware. The only way to avoid this is loot chests before others and use the loot in a secluded place. After that, claiming a high ground or building a small base high is also very strategic. This can be used as a tower to shoot enemies. Avoid staying on thin strips of land to prevent being pushed from void. If possible, cut any communication to the land you are in.


2. Use loots wisely

There are some game-changing loots like enderpearl, golden apple or even explosives. Enderpearls can help you escape death from void, golden apples can gain you upper hand in battle and explosives can insta-kill your enemies. Before using these items, it is recommended to practice them in the standard world to gain little experience.

3. Battle effectively

Never rush in carelessly or hide for a long time. Beginners should battle effectively and maximise the usage of their loot. Instead of barging in after collecting some loot, it is better to collect loot from other isolate islands before battling. A strategy would be to collect loot until there are only a few players remaining and then battle. Create enough blockades and traps for incoming and use long range weapons before melee to maximise damage. If there is no option except barging on the enemy then we should first use long range weapons while minimising the damaging to us and then using the melee weapons combined with other loot. If the enemy overpowers, heal for a few seconds and then attack. It is also unwise to barge in another battle.

4. Move faster than your enemies


Practicing parkour before playing skywars would be very effective, while travelling throughout the map. It can be used to chase enemies as well as run from a fight. It can also be used to use jump effectively. Also a water bucket will be handy.
