Chapter 2
Its the beginning of a new life for the separated twin pandas, not knowing where they are or why they were taken away, instead of freaking out they were taught to be patient and observer their enemies closely. After examining their new environment, Sphynx comes to the realization that he's in a very pauper neighborhood; Xya has been taken to a more middle class surrounding. Their new guardians say that they took them away in order to protect them from what's to come. Whatever that might even mean they thought. Each time they asked “why are you doing this?” “why have I been separated from my brother?” their only reply was “thats classified information.” Their new lives consisted of being watched for protection always training to be in good condition and combat ready, education was also very important. It was hard for both of them to live that way, being told what to do, expected to give 100% at what they do. Many times they've tried to run away, escape from this hell they were put in but never succeeded. Even though their new life was tough they were grateful to their new guardians for caring about them, they've never really had anyone who truly loved and cared for them but themselves thats why they were always together. Their parent did not seem to love them and they would always be yelled at for the smallest reasons. They felt like they were just servants and unappreciated but their new guardians have never once yelled or but a finger on them even though they were very strict. Over the years the tension started to ease and the twins became accustomed to their ways of living there was still that feeling like they were dying deep down inside. Sphynx decided to do something that interested him and help support his pauper new family so he worked hard to become a successful scientist. Xya, being the mischievous one became a military soldier. Their guardians knew they would have to be more cautious and be on high alert for they know that the twins are being searched for and will be taken to a horrible place if found. It got to the point where it was a bit too risky to be out in public so the twins were put on lock down. For two months they have been isolated from the world which gave them plenty of time to themselves. Sphynx began to hypothesize and analyze some information gathered over the years and came up with the conclusion that his guardians must have contact with Xyas guardians. Hoping he was right he prepared a strategy to find out where his parents are keeping all of this data hidden. It was arduous setting up hidden cameras around the house knowing you are constantly under surveillance. Two weeks passed and he finally found his mothers chary motions as she lifted the floor in the corner of the hallway making sure nobody was around she got in and closed it. He patiently waited for an opportunity to go check out this new discovery but his parents had to be out of the house and security had to be on low maintenance. He waited and waited eager to enter that room. “What could be in there.” he thought. After what seemed like eternity his parents finally left the house and it was the time to strike. He left a video playing so it seemed like he was watching tv in his room. Everything was clear but he knew he had to be expeditious and not make a sound. The room was dark and gloomy, the walls of books seemed like they can go on forever. He got to the desk all the way in the back of the room and searched through all the papers he obtained. “Find what you're looking for?” asked his father. He was so startled he couldn't even move. “Don't underestimate us we knew your intentions so we set up this trap and the pray took the bait. I'm afraid to say that what you're looking for isn't here. We are not trying to keep things from you, one day you will know everything but its too soon for that.” “That's a bit hypocritical isn't it?” replied Sphynx. “Thats not like you, don't be so troublesome now run along and forget this ever happened.” Xya has been training and becoming stronger but he's also jaded of the sames things over and over again. That night they both dreamt of all the games they played when they were younger and that one day they will see each other again. One morning Sphynx was urgently needed at the laboratory, an experiment had gone horribly wrong. He had strictly informed them not to do anything dangerous while he was absent but they didn't listen. His parents told them not to go its a huge risk and a possible set up. “That's preposterous, my team may not be the best but I must go to make sure everythings alright.” When he arrived at the lab he got an eerie feeling, nothing was as he had imagined everything was calm. The lab was perfectly fine and there was no one in sight. Something was not right and he knew he had to get out of there immediately. “Sphynx where have you been? Your parents have been worried sick about you, hows Xya doing?” “I recognize that irritating voice from when I was younger who could it be.” Sphynx thought. “Come on out and show some manners mr. anonymous.” A dart came out of nowhere and got him in the leg, he slowly began to feel drowsy. “Don't worry sir Sphynx we will have plenty of time to catch up when we have safely returned you back home.” were the last words he heard before everything went blank. The next day Xya noticed that something was up when they vamped security. He had bugged the house in hopes of gathering information about why he is there or if they know anything about Sphynx. He overheard his mother say “They have captured the boy, we must do anything to keep our Xya safe.” “Captured the boy…does she mean Sphynx! Whats happening to my brother!?”
