I've just recently gotten back into minecraft for the PC and Xbox. I'm a very skeptical person when it comes to "Ghosts in the code" and things of that nature in games, but lately something weird has been happening in my game. Maybe some of you have had this experience, I'll be mining as usual then I stop, because of the sounds of quick footsteps around me (similar to the 13 disk). I stop and think to myself "Maybe it's just a zombie or a skeleton" so I continue to mine without thinking much of it. The noise continues and I begin to get nervous and head up to the surface. it's daylight and everything is quiet for awhile then I start to hear it again, please note that I play in a singleplayer world. I look around thinking that it's just a wolf, yet there isn't any. This isn't only in just single player where I've heard footsteps, even on multiplayer with my friends we just stop and listen and we hear the footsteps yet we're both standing still. I really don't know what this could be and I have already been skeptical about this and I a still am. 

Has anyone else  experienced  this? Does anyone know what this is? Is it part of a new update to scare you?
