At the time during  minecraft classic, when Jeb developed it. Jeb went on vacation because minecraft classic took so long to do. Notch did not mind, as he got another programmer. I was the programmer ‘s assistant at the time. After the new update in minecraft classic (The update was called “Update 0.0”), was WAY off. First of all at the testing area, the hostile mobs were added in, they started did not attack me like they were supposed to. The passive mobs DID attack me, and that shocked everyone in the testing booth. My skin was off to. Our character in the game (now called Steve), He was the same, but with glowing white eyes. The character we made was in the game, but he attacked us. After a little while the computers shut down.


But minecraft was still on! We ran around panicking, because we did not know what to do. Steve came out of the computer, and attacked the other programmer, killing him. We stared at his corpse for a minute, then we ran away.


It then left the room, and was not seen again. After Jeb got back, we told him what happened. He did not believe us. We then showed him the corpse and he was shocked.  Jeb fixed the game, and it was fine after that, we then named the new character with glowing white eyes “Herobrine”.
