It's Valentine’s Day, but do these poor folk care?
Do they "hmm" and they "hrmm" about love in the air?
"I couldn't care less!" scoffed the villager cleric.
"I wish all the days of the year were generic!"
"It's Minecraft, after all!" The blacksmith agreed.
"Days off and festivities are the last thing we need!"
When noon came, the villagers gathered round the bell,
And each had their many opinions to tell.
All said the same — that Valentines were lame!
And whoever gave them was clearly insane!
Including the Golem, who quietly stood
Giving roses to children of the neighborhood.
In all the confusion, only the Golem saw
Steve hidden in secret behind the village wall.
And while the villagers argued and propounded,
Steve placed down oak fences till all were surrounded!
While they were distracted, Steve swiftly took flight,
Before all the villagers realized their plight!
"Alas!" They all cried. "We shall surely be fried!"
Or baked into cakes and then eaten alive!
"We don't want to become a Valentine's feast!"
"We just want to go back to our work in peace!"
After much fighting and exhausting their power,
They gave up and stood there for hours and hours.
All faces were somber, a few of them wept,
As they thought of the emeralds at home they had kept.
In time the villagers started talking with others,
And soon they learned more about their brothers -
And sisters, and mothers, and their fathers too,
And they began to see each other completely anew.
"We don't have to be all business and trade,
We can also be friends, and share things that we've made!"
And so this small village learned an important lesson,
And this has created a lasting impression,
In all that they do, now the villagers share
all the kindness and friendship, and love in the air.
