There are many qualities into a good blog. There are many quantities that are in some too. What's the right balance to making a perfect blog though?

Okay, lets get this straight. You DO NOT have to advertise you blogs or even... anything to get more views. Its pretty annoying, lets face it. I had never ever advertised any of my posts on PMC. And well, I'm doing pretty good. So how do you make good blogs too?

Quality > Quantity

The thing is, people get BORED over a certain amount of time. Especially if your making an article. You need a good idea, not a bunch of words. Because anyone can write down a bunch of words, but only a select few can have great ideas, for example, here's one of my blogs. http://www.planetminecraft.com/blog/why-is-mining-so-creepy/ Not many words, no advertising, a pop-reel. I had a good idea, and I put it down. NOTE: If you have a tutorial, long paragraphs are OK. It's a tutorial, people want to learn.

For example, ThatCobblestoneGuy is doing really good right now. He found the right balance between words and ideas. But if you look at his blogs, you'll see that the ideas he makes are very unique, and you don't see them anywhere else. Appearance

You NEED to make your blogs look nice and neat. Use proper grammar, punctuation, and spelling. Also put headers up to organize your post into bits and pieces, especially for tutorials. THE MOST IMPORTANT PART THOUGH, is the thumbnail and title. This is what pulls your reader into your blog. It captures the reader's attention. Of course though, you gotta have decent paragraphs or otherwise, you thumbnail and title are pretty useless... and are just there to capture attention. But they want to know more, more about the subject.

Most Relatable (VERY IMPORTANT)

This step is VERY VERY VERY important. It is probably the fundamental part of your blog. You need to find a way to relate to the audience. Just think about what goes on your mind about PMC or Minecraft. Since your a person too, (I hope) you can relate quite well... Right? Yeah... http://www.planetminecraft.com/blog/why-is-mining-so-creepy/ That's an example of being relatable. I could relate well to the audience, that mining was creepy. Although, if you have a tutorial, put something that even noobs would use. Like this http://www.planetminecraft.com/blog/how-to-install-mods-in-minecraft-172/. It was a tutorial that many people need and like. Remember to cater to your audience.

Lastly...

Follow these steps and you'll be on your way to success :) I could have missed some stuff, but if you have any questions, message me or another small but popular blogger. If you message a big blogger, you might not get a response... But I hope this helped, and good luck! You'll need it... Just kidding :P
