Well im not saying that all houses should look like this one but im just saying if your really far in your survival dont make your house look like the one on the left. You have to admit the one on the right is far better then the one on the left. Now on your first day you should not make the house on the right, belive me I tried. But this isnt about a crazy explanation on how good it is, this is a blog on how to build it.
Step 1 - The Body:
The body is one of the main parts of the build, Generally you wanna make a shape for your body, in this case I chose a rectangle on rectagular builds I like to remove 2 to 3 of the corners and replase them with stone walls it ads a bit more detail. Different types of builds have different types of material types I chose medieval so my block type for the body is stone bricks. I also add more then one layer so I have a little place to put flowers.
Step 2 - The Roof:
You should genarally spend half your time on roofs they make the build stand out if you see here I parted my roof into 2 parts, it adds more detail to the build. Your roof should have 2 different material types generally people wanna see more then 2 block types but its annoying to add more then 2 and sometimes doesn't look good
Step 3 - Detail:
Detail is something to catch the eye with for example a chimney! chimneys shouldnt look so perfect and made of brick make them out of a more basic material like cobble it should look like a thin pile of cobble using stairs slabs and walls. Flowers are quite simple put them in pots near a window at each end but only do this in large windows otherwise it covers the view.
Step 4 - Terraforming:
This makes the outside of your build look nice. The average guy just places bonemeal all over but that looks to flat and boring you first wanna place hills, stones, rocks, and water. Then comes the grass dont use bonemeal place grass and ferns close to the path then as you get farther away place double ferns and grass making it look trampled closer to the path.
Thats my tutorial hoped you liked it! TexturePack: MithPack.
