Why can't modders give us the modded jars instead of instructions?

I love mods. But I can't mod at all, even when the instructions are right there. I've tried time and time again to get it right, but it just won't work. Please, please, please someone just tell me why people won't do that? It's been nagging on me for months now.

Well due to copyright laws as long as they change minecraft 33% then it is not minecraft anymore but a new game entirely

Because if they do so, then it is same as giving out minecraft.jar, which you are supposed to be buying to get them.

Technically, you pay for the minecraft application, which makes a minecraft.jar. You can get a .jar about anywhere, it's just a file.

Actually, looking back on this, you don't even pay for the application. You're paying for a premium minecraft account. Your argument is invalid. :P
