Why is my MC chat like this?

My MC chat text wont show up as colored. It shows up as white text with a colored shading/background to it. It looks kinda bad and it's very annoying. I've asked a lot of people if there text is like that too, and so far I'm the ONLY ONE. I hate it.

Help?

Well what exactly is the problem? There's colored text on some servers its a plugin and most servers need ranks for colors is that your problem? pls reply

no, the plugins work, it's just like covered up by a layer of white.
if you zoom in you can see some green and pink/purple under the white, but its not solid colored.

i've done that multiple times when i broke my mods. still have the same problem.
it's currently vanilla so its not a mod.

it does it with default txp too, but yeah ill fiddle around :D
