(A wings of fire fanfic)
was the Fifteenth year of the blasted war. And his first mission on the continent.

His mission: to find his brother Stonemover; for His brother had gone missing during his time in the desert building the supposedly “Important” tunnels.

Stargazer hated his brother

with a burning passion.

His brother had EVERYTHING. He had magic, a family that loved him and, if the rumors were true, he had a girlfriend as well. On the other side, was him; stargazer.

What he had; a family who hated him, a TRIBE who hated him, and a VERY stupid task of finding his spoiled brother. This is what the letter that he got with the instructions said;

Dear Stargazer,

We regret to inform you that your brother has vanished in the Kingdom of sand.

We need you to bring him back to the Kingdom of night.

Your mission details: please bring back Stonemover the NightWing back to NightWing Island. Alive. If you fail this, you will be punished severely. Sincerely, The NightWing council.

“Those moon blasted FOOLS!” Cried Stargazer.

Not only he had to collect his brother, he had to bring him back Alive. If he even WAS alive.

Oh he wished he could just stay home.

Oh he wished and wished.

But he knew that would never happen.

So, he decided to pack some valuables. Here is what he packed;

Fifteen canteens of water, who knows how long he would be there…

His favorite set of earrings,

A Cactus for venom,

And the letter with Vague instructions for his mission.

Now that he had everything he needed, he thought maybe he should go.

As he headed through those blasted tunnels, he saw a single RainWing collecting fruit.

He hurriedly flew to the tunnel to the Kingdom of Sand. The fist thing he felt was heat. Agonizingly hot heat. Oh, he hated this already.

He stepped into the light and immediately screamed.

It was so HOT.

He looked around for anyone. All he saw was sand and a huge fort in the distance.

Obviously he knew it was Burns stronghold.

He wanted to be as far away as possible from that fort.

So, he headed into the vague shape of a oasis town.

He was about halfway there before he thought he should stop and get a drink. Then, he realized some very bad news.

He had left his stuff in the Night Kingdom.

That, was a very bad thing.

Also, to add some more bad news, there was a sandstorm headed his way.

He thought it would be best to fly as fast as he could to that oasis town.

He was so close… yet so far.

The sandstorm was in his way.

Then, out of the blue, a big fountain appeared. He frantically flew to the fountain as it abruptly disappeared. Frustrated, he dove into the sand and dug up what looked like a canteen. And just like the fountain, it was not what it appeared to be. It was a cow skull.

By now the sandstorm had already got to him.

He tried desperately to cling onto the sand, only for it it fly in his face.

Then, he made his first mistake. He jumped into the air and attempted to fly.

Immediately the sandstorm flung him, headfirst, into a huge rock.

As he lost consciousness, his last thought was “stupid brother”

—-the next day—- SCORPION POV

It was a very good day to look for any treasures around the area.

It was sorta something she did every day after a sandstorm.

But, halfway to her favorite spot for treasure hunting, she spotted a black spot in the distance. “It-it looks like a dragon.” She said. Who would be stupid enough to be out in a sandstorm? She thought.

As she neared the body, she really hoped that whoever they were, was still alive. She noticed several things at once.

One, it was a NightWing.

Two, he were breathing.

And three, he was the most handsome dragon she had ever seen. Well, aside from looking half starved and half dead.

STARGAZER POV

“Hello? Are you alive? wake up!” Said a mysterious voice. They sounded kind, but who knows?

He opened his eyes to see the most beautiful dragon he had ever seen.

“Oh!” Said the dragon. “Your awake! Hi, my name’s Scorpion and who are you?”

“M-my names Stargazer.”

“Well, next time you come to visit me- i mean whoever you were looking for, don’t fly without water and don’t go flying in sandstorms!”
