Introduction
The following spoiler bars will contain information about important or significant sapient species. There are currently 17 species that will be covered; more will be added as they appear in my lore. Subspecies or closely related species will be categorized and detailed in the spoiler bar of the most important of the group (for example, there are 14 subspecies of Zegnophians).
As a quick note; a species is defined as:
"A group of organisms consisting of similar individuals capable of interbreeding or exchanging genes."
The crucial part here is "capable of interbreeding or exchanging genes." In the popular sci-fi film and TV series Star Trek, klingons and humans have been shown to be able to breed. This means that they are, by definition, the same species, regardless of how different they might look. Similarly, twileks and humans can breed, so they are a single species. Be aware of this definition as subspecies are described- they might look as different as a rancor and a chiss, but since they can interbreed, they are a species.
(Also note: rancors and chiss cannot breed, nor should anyone ever try with a rancor sized creature unless they are appropriately durable or sized.)
