You need to install the corners mod along with it to play it properly! (See bottom of description for links)

(edit - This only works on Corners v1.2.6. Versions 1.2.7 and forward have changed generation for the Communal Corridors, and I am unable to adjust the datapack to make it work at this time. Sorry!)

(also sidenote: this currently does not work in multiplayer, as the only version available on 1.20 for the mod has a bug that doesn't allow multiplayer to work properly - from what I have heard from the dev, a fix is in the works)





Have you ever played with The Corners mod before, and thought: "I wish I could figure out how to survive in this terrifying liminal nightmare, without it seeming so repetitive"? No?

Well, now you can!

Corners+ is a datapack addon to The Corners mod by LudoCrypt which aims to make the trio of terrifying liminal spaces more survival-friendly. Currently, as it stands, the dimensions are already survivable, but the set of items you have access to through these dimensions is... limited. This datapack aims to make survival in these dimensions more interesting by adding even more new liminal locations to explore!

Currently, the datapack adds:

-4 new levels to the Communal Corridors dimension
-A new structure to the Hoary Crossroads dimension, allowing access to more materials through archaeology
-A reason to scale to the top of the Yearning Canal, and enter the end to complete the game!
-Modified loot tables for the base dimension's loot so they aren't just re-using vanilla loot tables
-Many secrets hidden within!


OVERVIEW:

-The layers of the communal corridors are accessible through rare staircases found throughout each level. As you scale from level to level, finding these stairways gets more difficult, as they become more sparse as you go up. All of these staircases are found within the long, connected hallways within the dimension.



The five levels are:

-Communal Corridors (Level 1)

-Rusty Pipe-Dream (Level 2)

-Endless Library (Level 3)

-The Arcade (Level 4)

- ??? (Level 5) [​This one's a secret - make your way up there yourself and see!]

-The hoary crossroads now features floating ruins structures, far up in the sky and detached from the rest of the bridges. You may want to bring a brush with you, as there's plenty of supplies to be found here, if you're willing to dig them up!



-The yearning canal now has an end portal frame at the very top of its towers, giving you a reason to make the 2000 block climb - ender eye ingredients are each respectively found in the other two dimensions.



This datapack is not meant to be played in a normal world, as it replaces the trail ruins structure to create the floating ruins structures. Please do not add this to your normal survival worlds.

The way that I've been playing with it is by using a superflat world set to the void setting, and placing one of the portal-paintings to travel to a starter dimension. I advise that you do the same.

I also recommend disabling the special shader in the config file of the corners, as it is a bit jarring to play with in survival. (Will post a tutorial on how to do that later)



This took a lot of time over the course of several months to put together, and with a lot of gaps between construction, and motivation from some friends, this has been completed with little to no technical complications.
