This Datapack Adds Followers!
Followers go in your rightmost hotbar slot.
This version includes 5 followers.
Spirits are followers that give a unique buff or benefit.
Spectres are followers that turn into mobs.
Notes
IMPORTANT
When updating from version 1.2 to older versions, previously crafted items will no
longer work and have to be recrafted
This datapack is multiplayer compatible but may buggy.
If you encounter a bug please uninstall and reload.

Spirits
Candle Spirit
Recipe : Throw candle and soul lantern on ground
Ability : Acts as a mobile light source
When provided torches, it will place them
Extra : Candle topper can be dyed any color
Mushroom Spirit
Recipe : Throw candle and soul lantern on ground
Ability : Provides buff based on held item every minute
Examples: Sugar provides a 45 second speed buff
Ghast tears provide a 15 second regeneration buff
This works for every base potion ingredient.
Mining Spirit
Recipe : Throw iron pickaxe and soul lantern on ground
Ability : Creates particles when nearby ore that matches its held item
Examples: Raw iron alerts the player to iron ore
Quartz alerts the player to nether quartz ore
Ancient debris alerts the player to ancient debris
This works for every ore
The search area is a 10x10 box around the player (5 Block radius)
The area includes 1 block above and below the player, great for strip mining
Death Spirit
Recipe : Throw iron hoe and soul lantern on ground
Ability : Creates gravestone when player dies
Right click gravestone to collect items
Recipe : Throw candle and soul lantern on ground
Ability : Acts as a mobile light source
When provided torches, it will place them

Recipe : Striders now drop strider souls.
Strider souls cannot be picked up and despawn quickly.
Throw a saddle and soul lantern on top of a strider soul.
Ability : Right click to turn the follower into a strider mount.
The mount turns back into a follower when dismounted.
Recipe : Striders now drop strider souls.
Strider souls cannot be picked up and despawn quickly.

1) Spatial Spirit: Chester (10 HP/ 5 Hearts)
Recipe: Throw 2 Chests and a Soul Lantern on ground
Ability: A hopping chest spirit that acts as a mobile 2 Chest-storage (However, Spiders/Silverfishes/Endermites will attack Chester on site, if Chester dies, all contents will be spilled on floor)
*provide a Lighting Rod and Chester will be able to pick up nearby items (5 Block Radius around player)
*provide armor pieces in Chester, and it will also improve Chester's Armor by the total amount of Armor points; Chester cannot heal and relies solely on Armor Points to maximize it's life span
2) Nurturing Spirit: Willow (10 HP/ 5 Hearts)
Recipe: Throw 4 stews and a Soul Lantern on ground
Ability: Recovers 1hunger point every minute
*provide it cake and Willow will be able to heal 3 hunger points every minute
*provide it a Golden Apple, and Willow will also be able to heal 6 HP (3 hearts) every minute
Only Ranged Entities (Witch, Skeletons, Ghosts, Blazes, Pillagers, Evokers...ejtc) can target Willow. When Willow heals the player, it will also heal itself the same amount
3) Mischievous Spirit: Gaia (10 HP/ 5 Hearts)
Recipe: Throw 2 Waxed Copper Blocks and a Soul Lantern on ground
Ability: Wonders around player, upto 10 blocks radius performing mischievous tasks, such as pulling levers, pressing buttons and pressure plates; opening doors, trapdoors, gates, and ringing Villager Bells. If Chests or Jukeboxes are near by, Gaia will randomly open chests (does not take items out), turn ON/OFF Jukeboxes.
*provide it an Iron Block, and Gaia has 50% chance to transform into an Iron Golem (for 1 minute than transforming back into Gaia) when the player is injured by an entity (Not from natural injuries: Falls, fire, drowning...). Hostiles are attracted to it as they would an Iron Golem
4) Dimensional Spirit: Endy (10 HP/ 5 Hearts)
Recipe: Throw 4 Ender Pearls and a Soul Lantern on the ground
Ability: When a player is attacked, after 1-2 seconds, the player will be TP 10 blocks towards the direction the player is looking
*provide an Ender Eye, and Endy can TP the player 25 Blocks instead of 10.
Endermans are attracted to Endy and will attack it on sight
Explosive spirit: Tnt and soul lantern. BOOOOOM! This spirit is quite handy. It can be right clicked to sit down and blow up after ten seconds, or it can be shot by punching it twice! The explosion is on the level of a creeper. Bonus! Strike it with lightning to make it become a charged spirit.
Mining spirit bonus: Feed this spirit a block of ancient debris to double detection range.
