Hi there
This datapack change the way caves are generated in minecraft, adding more variety to the game
The caves will changed as you wander around the world, changing some blocks into other in a way to represent the biome you're in
What does it change ?
- In some biomes, redstone ore may be replaced by lapis ore, diamond by emerald, ..
- gravel, dirt, diorite, andesite and granite are changed by other blocks fitting the biome "atmosphere"
- The deeper you get, the more you'll see changes
- If you install this datapack mid-game, it may alter your undeground builds
- Generation may seems odd from time to time (half a chunk won't change, two biomes and the mix of blocks looks weird)
This is due to minecraft, nothing I can change
- Some lags may occur on weak server/ computer when the caves are generated
Won't happen if you are in an already generated (by this datapack) chunk
- The screenshots aren't the only biomes affected
- Thank's to Tetrajak who did the base code, go check his own version of caves overhaul
- Download the Datapack
- Start Minecraft (Java Edition)
- Click on "Singleplayer"
- Select your world in which to install this Datapack (Don't click on play!)
- Click on "Edit"
- Click on "Open World Folder"
- Place the .zip file inside the datapacks folder (Don't unzip it!)
- Join/Rejoin the world or use /reload

What kind of update?
I haven't tested it tho so I don't know
Changes only apply under Y 60, so if you're using the "cave" world generator in buffet, you wouldn't see the new caves type everywhere
But give credit to Tetrajak, I created this datapack thanks to him
If it still doesn't work, could you give me more information about how you installed it, the biome you're in,..? So I could see where the problem is
