Hey all!

This is a little datapack I made that simulates an army in Minecraft. The army is villager based and somewhat survival friendly. The instruction manual is given when the datapack is loaded, but I will explain everything down below anyway.

Currently, this datapack is for multiplayer, for 4 players max. (White, Black, Red, Blue) I will probably add more colors in the next update.


First things first, give yourself 2 white banners. Make sure you are not wearing anything on your helmet slot. Place one banner on your off-hand, which then will immediately summon an army of 20 at your location, and put a banner on your head. To disband the army, simply take the banner off of your head. You can also disband the army by dying. I must also inform you guys that there is a 5 minute cooldown period between each summoning.

To get the army to attack, you would need to put the army in formation. You must have your hotbar slots 7, 8 , and 9 clear for this. For a wedge formation, put the other white banner in your 7th hotbar slot. For a line formation, put the banner in your 8th slot. For a square formation, put the banner in your 9th slot. The formation will adjust to your rotation as you turn.

When in formation, the army will deal wither damage to a 2 block radius. They will not attack you under any circumstances though. They will also regenerate health naturally, and are immune from dying from suffocation.

The weakness of this army is range and wither mobs, as they are currently limited to melee attacks, and their attacks don't damage wither based mobs. I am considering to patch this bug, so tell me if I should in the comments.

This army is optimal for defending against raids, as they do hold the line... most of the time. Have fun I guess, and please notify me of any bugs, so I can possibly patch it in the next release.
